Oats Seekh Kabab

This is what comes out when you want to include Oats in the meal of a fussy Husband, who says he will eat oats only when its Yummy!! What better way to please him. This yummy, exotic Oats Seekh Kabab is healthy more than you could imagine.!!

Ingrediants:

3 Cups Oats
1 Cup Corn
1 medium size beetroot
1 carrot
2 tbsp Besan( chickpea flour)
Turmeric
1 tbsp grated ginger
Red chili powder
1 tsp Dry Mango powder
Salt to taste
1 tsp Coriander powder
1 tsp Garam powder

Rice flour for dusting
Oil for shallow fry

Procedure

I have used my fresh corn, Removed the kennels and boiled and  coarsely blended.

Take about 3 cups of oats and add little boil and roughly cook them. They should be completely cooked but just about mushy.

Add grated Beet root, carrot and all the spices. Add little Chickpea flour for binding. Do not add too much.

Mix well. It should not be very watery. Wet your hand take a small ball and make about a small roll.

Since we haven't using much of binding agent it would look difficult but don't worry, place it on rice flour and keep rolling it with hands it would get elongated.

Place it on skillet and let it roast till golden brown. Initially it would be soft. But you will be surprised how the texture changes.

Serve it hot with your choice of dipping!!  I served them on bed of salad and mint yogurt dipping.
